Periodmed Wrapped Up at 93rd CMEF Spring 2026

From April 9 to 12, the 93rd China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) transformed Shanghai’s National Exhibition and Convention Center into a global hub of medical innovation. Titled “Innovation Fusion · Infinite Leap,” this year’s event brought together nearly 5,000 brands from 20+ countries and over 300,000 professionals from 170+ nations—making it more than just an exhibition, but a dynamic platform shaping the future of healthcare.
For Periodmed, this wasn’t just about showcasing equipment—it was about joining the global conversation on making healthcare smarter, more accessible, and more efficient. Our booth quickly became a hotspot, with a steady stream of visitors stopping by to explore our lineup, ask questions, and even negotiate partnerships. By the end of the event, we’d connected with healthcare providers from rural Chinese clinics to major hospitals in Europe and Southeast Asia—proof that great medical tech speaks a universal language.
The Booth That Felt Like a Healthcare Solution Hub
We designed our booth with one goal in mind: to let visitors experience our products, not just look at them. The minimalist, tech-inspired layout—with clean lines, soft blue lighting, and open demo stations—encouraged people to step in, pick up devices, and see how they’d work in real clinical settings . Unlike stuffy exhibition spaces where products are locked behind glass, we wanted our booth to feel like a collaborative hub.
One of the most heartening sights was watching our team walk visitors through each device. A family doctor from Jiangsu spent 20 minutes testing our AI handheld ultrasound, marveling at how its lightweight design and high-def imaging would let him perform on-the-spot diagnoses in remote villages—no need for patients to travel hours to a city hospital .

An international distributor from Malaysia, part of CMEF’s official buyer delegation, was particularly interested in our vital sign monitors, noting how their portability would be a game-changer for emergency services in his country . Even industry experts stopped to dive into the nitty-gritty: one radiologist spent 45 minutes discussing our various ultrasound probes and intelligent algorithms, impressed by how it matched the performance of top global brands at a more accessible price point.
By day three, our booth was so busy we had to add extra demo stations. What stood out most wasn’t just the number of visitors, but the quality of conversations—people weren’t just browsing; they were imagining how our products could solve their biggest pain points, from staffing shortages in rural clinics to the need for faster emergency diagnoses.

Products That Actually Fit Real-World Healthcare Needs
Let’s talk about the stars of the show: our intelligent medical equipment. Every product we brought to CMEF was built with a simple philosophy: innovation should serve practicality. Here’s what resonated most with visitors:
Our AI handheld ultrasound system was undoubtedly the crowd-pleaser. Designed for point-of-care use (POCUS, as it’s known in the industry ), it’s perfect for emergency rooms, pre-hospital care, and primary healthcare settings. The AI image recognition feature— which automatically highlights key anatomical structures—had doctors buzzing: a paramedic from Shanghai told us it would help him make faster decisions during ambulance rides, potentially saving critical minutes for patients. For veterinary clinics too, the device’s versatility (it works on small and large animals) drew interest from several pet healthcare chains.
Then there’s our intelligent monitoring system—made up of portable multi-parameter monitors, bedside units, ECG devices, and infusion pumps. What makes it unique is the “terminal collection + centralized control” setup: all devices connect to a central hub, letting nurses manage multiple beds from one station, access real-time data, and even enable remote consultations . A hospital administrator from Guangzhou laughed and said, “This would cut down our nurses’ walking time by half!” For rural clinics part of China’s county-level medical consortia (a key part of the country’s “digital health” push ), the system’s data interoperability means they can share patient info with larger hospitals seamlessly—no more redoing tests or lost records.

Our high-end ultrasound diagnostic equipment also turned heads. With upgraded image processing and high-resolution imaging, it covers everything from abdominal and cardiac exams to gynecological and interventional procedures. A radiologist from Italy (part of CMEF’s Italian national pavilion ) noted that it held its own against European brands, praising its stability and precision—high praise from someone used to top-tier gear.
Connections That Will Shape the Future of Global Healthcare
CMEF isn’t just about showing off products—it’s about building partnerships that last. This year, we finalized initial cooperation intentions with 12 distributors from 8 countries, including Indonesia, Russia, and South Africa. What’s exciting is that these partnerships aren’t just about selling equipment; they’re about addressing specific regional needs.
For example, our partner in Indonesia plans to distribute our portable ultrasound and monitors to rural health centers, where access to advanced diagnostics is limited. In South Africa, a hospital group wants to use our monitoring system to improve care in urban emergency departments, where overcrowding is a major issue. Back home in China, we signed agreements with three county-level medical consortia, who will integrate our devices into their “digital health” networks—aligning with the government’s push to bring quality healthcare to every corner of the country .

The best part? These connections didn’t happen by accident. CMEF’s “WeMatch Hub” —a smart matching system that connects exhibitors with buyers based on needs—helped us meet the right people quickly . But the real magic happened in the unplanned moments: late-afternoon discussions over coffee, impromptu demos after the exhibition floor closed, and even a few exchanges of clinical case studies. One of our engineers spent hours talking to a researcher from a Chinese university about how to refine our AI algorithms for pediatric patients—feedback that’s already on our product development roadmap.
What’s Next for Periodmed
As CMEF 2026 drew to a close, our team was tired but energized. We left Shanghai with more than just partnership agreements—we left with a renewed sense of purpose. To every doctor, distributor, and expert who stopped by our booth: thank you for trusting us, for asking tough questions, and for sharing your vision of better healthcare. To our team: thank you for working 12-hour days, for explaining the same features with patience (over and over!), and for making our booth feel like a welcoming space.
Looking ahead, we’re more committed than ever to our mission. Backed by Yongkang Grand Health’s full industrial chain advantages, we’ll keep innovating—focusing on smarter AI integration, more portable designs, and even better data interoperability . We’ll continue to support China’s “Healthy China” initiative, but we’re also excited to expand our global footprint, bringing reliable, affordable medical tech to underserved regions around the world.

CMEF 2026 was a reminder that healthcare innovation isn’t just about technology—it’s about people. It’s about the rural doctor who needs a portable ultrasound to save lives, the nurse who needs a smarter monitoring system to reduce burnout, and the patient who deserves fast, accurate care no matter where they live. As we head back to the lab and the drawing board, we’ll carry those stories with us.
